Thank You for a Great 2025
I wanted to start this post with my deepest and most sincere gratitude to everyone who supported Osborn Performance Systems this year. Our clients, our friends, our family, it’s all thanks to your tireless and continued support that our gym and online businesses exist, so thank you.
I have been operating OPS since 2013, and what we have been able to achieve as a business this year and accomplish with our clients has been incredible. I am so proud of the effort, dedication, and attitude of our OPS lifters. I’m proud of the culture built at OPS and our lifters that embody that culture and our values of discipline, consistency, and integrity.
Client Achievements That Made Us Proud
This year our athletes showed up and showed out on platforms across the country and around the world.
Trae Madrigal became the PLU National Champion in the men's 125kg class. Sarah Byers claimed the WRPF CAN National Championship in the women's 90kg division. At the Cincinnati Women's Pro Am, Yvette Babich dominated the amateur day women's 75kg class while Monica Cahalan took the pro day championship in the same weight class and set four world records in the process.
Chris Ptacek earned the PA Masters National Championship in the men's 120kg+ class and placed fourth at IPF Masters Worlds. Keith Valeros probably holds the world record for getting closest to 500 dots without breaking through that barrier yet (but we are working on it). Mookie Simon posted two 500+ dots totals and took first place at Pro USAPL competitions. Antjuan Buffett hit his lifetime goal of a 2k total squatting 846, benching 476, and deadlifting 701 for a 2023 total.
And then there is Tenaya Tuteur, who dropped 15kg to compete in the women's 82.5kg class and posted a 531 dots total. That performance ranked her as the fifth highest female dots in the USPA for 2025 and the fourth highest total in the women's 82.5kg submaster class.
On top of all these big accomplishments, every single OPS lifter hit PRs this year. Every one of them showed up consistently, pushed through hard training blocks, and proved what happens when you combine good coaching with serious commitment.
Business Growth and New Opportunities
While our clients were crushing it on the platform, we were working hard behind the scenes to build something even better for our community.
This year I was able to formally bring Coach Jeff and Coach Monica into our online services. Having them as part of the OPS coaching team means we can serve more athletes at the elite level they deserve. Their expertise and dedication have already made a huge difference for our clients both during training and on competition day. Seeing how hard both Jeff and Monica work on their clients training programs and their meet day coaching experience has shown me that the future for team OPS is brilliant and bright.
This year we hosted our very first OPS seminar. Bringing people together in person to learn, lift, and connect was an incredible experience. It reminded me why I love this sport and this community so much. Being able to work with people in person is a skill set that all of our OPS coaches have and it was incredible to see the massive changes in technique and programming knowledge that took place in 5 hours.
I also took on a mentorship under Paul Oneid with Master Athletic Performance. This has been the single greatest investment I have ever made in my business. It has changed all of my backend processes for the better and created a more polished, consistent, and substantial product that I am able to offer my lifters. I have been able to diversify services and what I can offer this incredible community that I have spent so much of my life participating in. The time spent in the mentorship program with Paul has allowed me to improve my time management during the week and create much more consistent outputs of coaching interactions with clients, content, and expanded OPS Services. I am immensely grateful to Paul and everything he has shown me over the last 6+ months.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Going into this year, we are making significant efforts to offer more in person coaching events, seminars, and collaborations with our friends in strength sports throughout the year.
We recognize as a company that digital communication and content is a great thing. But where this sport really shines and where this community really shines is in person. We will be putting our efforts into facilitating more in person connections with all of our OPS clients as well as friends in the community of strength sports.
This means more seminars, more travel to competitions, and more collaborations with friends across the United States and the globe. We are putting all the groundwork in place this year to do that. We are excited to have announcements later in the year for upcoming seminars and content that we will be doing live, giving everyone opportunities to come hang out with us, lift weights, have fellowship, and enjoy ourselves in our amazing community.
We will be continuing to provide our world class coaching services to all of our clients. Coach Jeff and Coach Monica will be taking on more online clients throughout the year. I will also be working with Coaches Corner University and putting out my own powerlifting coaching mentorship program. I want to continue to pass on to the next generation all the lessons I have learned over the years from those who have come before. I want to ensure that this sport is entrusted to those who care about it and who are invested in it like we are at Osborn Performance Systems.
Thank You
Thank you so much again for all your support and all of your encouragement for our products and services over the years. Even if you just came to lift with us in the gym on a Saturday, it means the world to us that you would choose our gym and come spend your time with us. Thank you for that. We are going to continue to make that the best investment you will ever make in your life.
As I look forward at this new year 2026, I am so excited for the opportunities it is going to bring all of us. I am excited for the hard work, dedication, and consistency that we are going to bring to this year to ensure that our goals are set high, our work is consistent, and that we hold ourselves accountable to our values and principles.
Here is to another great year of lifting heavy, building community, and getting after it together.
What we do as athletes improves us as human beings, and what we do as human beings improves the world around us.
